Perrybotics was founded in 2019 by Aaron Aviles and Jose Aviles as a 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization to cultivate a passion for engineering within Southern California's local communities. Our journey began by participating in the VEX Robotics Competition with two high school teams operating under the registered organization number: 742. Perrybotics commenced its venture with a total of 14 team members, evenly distributed between two teams, 742a and 742x.

Tower Takeover was the first game that Perrybotics took part of, starting the recruitment process mid September and beginning the build progress mid October, starting our competition by end of November. Perrybotics would make worlds right before the season came to a early close due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Our 2nd year of robotics did not play our how we would have intended, however despite our inability to attend competitions in California, Perrybotics took part in California's RI3D, collaborating virtually with some of the best teams of the state to produce a robot 3 days. In addition Perrybotics took part of an initiative to 3D-print PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for healthcare workers in the city of Downey.

Our 4th year perrybotics had much to live up to, Perrybotics would go on to build their most complex robots and approaching states would dominate the VRC Data analysis Rankings ranking 1st going into our State Championship. Perrybotics would gain qualification to the World Championship once again and would go on a record of 7 wins to 3 loses. Perrybotics would make it to Division Quarterfinals with team 6842k of Indiana as the 8th seeded alliance. Only losing to a rematch after a tie of 198 - 198 to the 1st seeded alliance.
Robots and Students from Perrybotics in affiliation with Warren High School would also go on to win the 2023 SkillsUSA California State Championship in Mobile Robotics Technology. This same team comprised of Team Captains from Perrybotics Aaron Aviles(742a ) and Justin Nicolas(742x ) returned to Nationals to finally win the 2023 SkillsUSA National Championship in Mobile Robotics Technology.

Our 3rd year perrybotics returned yearning for recognition. 742a and 742x would win their first regional and would attend the 2022 California State Championship, San Diego, where 742a would win the Championship with team 507a from Otay Ranch High School. Perrybotics would attend the first their first World Championship in May and would go on a record of 7 wins to 3 loses. Perrybotics would make it to Division Semifinals with team 4142b of Hawaii as the 5th seeded alliance. Only losing with a close a score of 151 to 154 to the 1st seeded alliance.
Robots and Students from Perrybotics in affiliation with Warren High School would also go on to win the 2022 SkillsUSA California State Championship in Mobile Robotics Technology. This same team comprised of Team Captains from Perrybotics Aaron Aviles(742a ) and Justin Nicolas(742x ) would win the 2021 SkillsUSA National Silver Medal in Mobile Robotics Technology.
